Web of Science serves as the unified interface for accessing citation and abstract databases provided by Clarivate Analytics. Under the KNAV license, access is granted to nine databases, with the Web of Science Core Collection serving as the primary database. This multidisciplinary database includes records from impacted journals and conference proceedings worldwide, including open-access publications. It spans over 250 scientific disciplines with records dating back to 1900. The following citation indexes are included:
- The BIOSIS Citation Index is the world’s most comprehensive reference database for life sciences research.
It contains bibliographic records of articles, proceedings, books or research reports, including citation links.
It covers documents from 1994 to the present. - Current Contents Connect contains bibliographic data, tables of contents and abstracts of currently published journals, books, as well as selected websites and documents. This allows you to get an overview of the currently published literature on a selected topic. The following editions are available under the KNAV licence:

As part of the KNAV license, you get access to the Science and Social Sciences & Humanities editions. - The Derwent Innovations Index allows you to quickly and accurately search for patents in the fields of chemistry, electrical engineering, electronics and engineering.
It contains over 14.3 million inventions registered with 60 worldwide patent organizations.
Thanks to the Derwent Patent Citation Index, links between patents can also be searched through citations.
Patent coverage goes back to 1963, citation coverage to 1973. - MEDLINE is the leading bibliographic database in the field of medicine and related sciences, produced by the National Library of Medicine of the United States.
It indexes content from specialty journals published in 30 world languages, as well as a selection of relevant documents from newspapers, magazines, and newsletters.
The Medical Subject Headings thesaurus or CAS registry numbers for chemical identifiers can be used for searching.
Retrospective to 1950. - SciELO Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database providing access to scholarly texts published in open-access journals in Latin America, Spain, Portugal, the Caribbean and South Africa.
Retrospective to 1997. - The Zoological Record is the world’s oldest animal biology database.
It contains journal titles and other documents including books, research reports and proceedings with retrospective back to 1994.
It also includes an extensive database of animal names which, with its coverage dating back to 1864, allows the evolution of individual names to be traced.
It is also possible to access Journal Citation Reports databases through Web of Science.
