The library will be closed from Monday, 22 December 2025, until Friday, 2 January 2026, and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.
During the library closure, loan services, information services, interlibrary services, and printing services will be unavailable. The study room and the cloakroom will also be closed.
If your registration is valid until at least 5 January 2026, the loan period for your documents will be or will have been extended beyond the library closure, as will the storage period for documents prepared in the study room. However, if your registration expires during the closure, the loan period of your documents cannot be extended further. Therefore, we recommend checking your user account and extending your registration before the closure or returning your loans if necessary. We also suggest checking the due dates of your borrowed documents; in case of doubt, please contact us at servis@knav.cz.
For returning books, please use the book return box located on the right under the stairs beyond the entry door to the LCAS (you will need to ring the bell). Returned documents will be removed from user accounts on 5 January 2026.
During the closure, you can still use remote access to our electronic information resources.
To extend your registration or create a new registration during the closure, you may use the Bank iD registration service. In that case, you will gain access to electronic resources immediately after the registration fee has been paid.
