In 2021, the activities of the Director were governed by Act No. 341/2005 Coll., on Public Research Institutions, as amended, the founding charter of the Library of the CAS, v. v. i., and the Statutes of the CAS. The main task was to ensure conditions for the implementation of scientific research in the field of scientific information and library science, to ensure the information infrastructure for research and to provide library, information and reprographic services to the departments of the CAS and other users in the sphere of science and research. Furthermore, the internal regulations, budget and all documents necessary for the operation of the library were prepared and submitted to the KNAV Council and the KNAV Supervisory Board for discussion and approval. The Director manages the institution mainly through her deputies and heads of departments who are responsible for the activities of the incorporated departments. This contributes to better communication and cooperation between departments, which ensures greater efficiency of work within departments.
