Interlibrary Services
We can provide you with Interlibrary Services (IS) that allow you to obtain books, articles or other documents that are not available in our library. We are happy to help you order materials from another domestic or international library.
However, we recommend that you check the availability of documents on the library’s website before making a request, which may save you financial costs.
Interlibrary services are ideal for researchers, students, and other users with more demanding information needs.
Interlibrary Services (national)
To obtain a document from another library, which you can later collect from us, simply place an order on the knihovny.cz website. If you only need a part of the document, you can order an electronic copy, which you can easily download.
How to order? Log in to the knihovny.cz portal with the same login details you use for our catalogue. Search for the document you want and click on the “I want it” button and select “Get MVS” to get the full document or “Get EDD” to order a copy.
Interlibrary services are chargeable. The price for delivery of the whole document is 70 CZK, while for electronic delivery of a copy you will pay at least 13 CZK. You can have the price calculated before ordering.

International Interlibrary Services (Document delivery)
To obtain a document from a foreign library to pick up from us, simply place an order.
Orders are usually processed within 2-3 weeks.
International interlibrary services are chargeable. The price for delivery of the entire document is usually 500 CZK, and if you order from overseas, the fee is 700 CZK. Please see our price list for more information. Payment can easily be made in cash or by credit card at the checkout when you collect the document in person.
International Interlibrary (Copy delivery)
If you only need a copy of a part of a document from a foreign library, simply fill out an order form.
Orders are usually processed within 5 working days.
International interlibrary services are chargeable. The price for copy delivery is 60 CZK for every 5 pages. For more information, please see our price list. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card at the checkout when you collect your copy in person
